In this post, we only recap showcases from the Indie developer, so it won’t be a longer article to read.

Indie World: A Celebration of Creativity and Quirkiness

The Nintendo Indie World presentation kicked things off with a variety of unique games that highlighted the creativity and diversity of indie developers. Here are the standout announcements:

This update is available later today, adding a fresh twist to the gameplay with creative and unexpected elements.

  • Moth Kubit: Imagine a world where friendly bugs, like moths, run a mega-corporation threatened by a mysterious event. Enter Moth Kubit, an odd and intriguing indie game set to release in Spring 2025. Players take on the role of a newly promoted worker tasked with navigating this bizarre world.

  • Date Everything!: Releasing on October 24th, Date Everything! is a game where players can partner up with around 100 characters, including anthropomorphic furniture like bookcases, lamps, and sofas. This quirky dating sim is bound to capture imaginations with its humorous premise.

  • Peglin: Available today as a timed console exclusive, Peglin brings a Peggle-style roguelike experience to the Nintendo Switch. Combining turn-based battles with puzzler mechanics, this game offers a fresh indie twist on a classic formula.

  • Wobbly Life: An open-world physics sandbox game, Wobbly Life jiggles its way onto Switch in December 2024, promising hours of chaotic fun.

  • Pico Park 2: For those who enjoy cooperative gameplay, Pico Park 2 arrives today as a timed console exclusive. This simple side-scroller supports up to six players working together to overcome obstacles.

A montage of indie game releases quickly followed, highlighting Shovel Knight: Shovel of Hope DX (2025), Europa (October 11, demo available now), Cuisineer (January 28, 2025), On Your Tail (November 21, demo available now), Metal Slug Tactics (autumn 2024), and the eagerly anticipated The Plucky Squire (September 17).

The Indie World presentation concluded with a surprise release of Pizza Tower, a pixelated platformer inspired by 90s cartoons, now available on the Nintendo Switch after making waves on PC.
