All Big Titles and Exciting Updates from Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase

Not only showcasing games from Indie developers, Nintendo Direct this August followed by Nintendo Partner Showcase, spotlighting several high-profile titles and some unexpected surprises. Here’s the recap of several incoming big titles.

  • Tetris Forever – In celebration of the 40th anniversary of Tetris, Tetris Forever brings together a collection of classic Tetris games, including Tetris 2 + Bombliss and Tetris Battle Gaiden. It also introduces a new Tetris experience, Tetris Time Warp, where players can switch between different classic Tetris styles. This new title is expected to launch later this year, with NES Tetris joining Nintendo Switch Online this winter.



  • Star Overdrive – A brand-new hoverboard-riding sci-fi adventure that combines melee combat with fast-paced exploration is set to arrive as a Nintendo Switch timed exclusive next year, promising to bring a fresh experience to the platform.



  • Goat Simulator 3 – Available today as a digital download, with a physical cartridge release planned for November, this fan-favorite chaotic simulation game finally arrives on the Switch.

A swift montage highlighted several other upcoming games, including The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky the 1st (2025), Star Wars Hunters Season 3 (September 26), STALKER: Legends of the Zone Trilogy (November), and the return of the classic Worms Armageddon: Anniversary Edition (September 26).

  • Spongebob Squarepants: The Patrick Star Game – Out on October 4th, this game offers a twist by focusing on Patrick rather than Spongebob, with players navigating a world full of surprises and quirky characters. Well, this is literally GTA San Andreas but everything is Patrick.



  • Fitness Boxing 3: Your Personal Trainer – Set to launch on December 5th, this game is aimed at those looking to keep fit with fun boxing workouts, offering a potential glimpse into what might be possible with the rumored Switch 2.



  • Capcom Fighting Game Collection 2 – Featuring a collection of retro fighting classics such as Capcom vs. SNK 2: Mark of the Millennium 2001, Power Stone, Power Stone 2, and Plasma Sword: Nightmare of Bilstein, this collection is scheduled for a 2025 release.


  • Marvel vs Capcom Fighting Collection Arcade Classics – Launching as a digital release on September 12th and on cartridge on November 22nd, this collection features a slew of arcade hits including X-Men Children of the Atom, Marvel Super Heroes, X-Men vs Street Fighter, and many more.



  • Atelier Yumia: The Alchemist of Memories & the Envisioned Land – This new title will arrive in early 2025, promising another enchanting adventure in the beloved Atelier series.


  • Suikoden 1 and 2 HD Remaster: Gate Rune and the Dunan Unification Wars – Announced for March 6, 2025, this remaster brings back two of the most acclaimed RPGs of the 90s in high-definition glory.

  • Dragon Quest 3 HD-2D Remake – Fans can look forward to the much-anticipated release of this beautifully crafted remake on November 14th, adding a fresh take on a classic RPG.


  • Castlevania Dominus Collection – Available today, this collection brings together three beloved Castlevania titles from the Nintendo DS era: Portrait of Ruin, Order of Ecclesia, and Dawn of Sorrow.


  • Sid Meier’s Civilization 7 – The latest entry in this iconic strategy series arrives on February 11th, 2025, alongside its PC, PlayStation, and Xbox counterparts.


  • Tales of Graces f Remastered – Arriving January 17th, 2025, this surprise announcement brings the classic Bandai Namco role-player to the Switch for the first time, offering an opportunity for fans to relive this adventure with enhanced visuals and gameplay.


  • MySims Cosy Bundle – Featuring MySims and MySims Kingdom, this bundle will be available on November 19th, providing a nostalgic trip for fans of the cozy life simulation genre.
